Beautiful landscape creation by a 12 year old.

Reminds me of this quote from the book - Beauty: The Invisible Embrace.
"Landscape is the first-born of creation . There is a poignancy in beholding the beauty of landscape: often it feels as though it has been waiting for centuries for the recognition and witness of the human eye . . ."

Water color pencil art by a 7 year old.

It takes a lot of patience at that age to carefully apply different shading techniques and then blend the colors with a wet brush.

I especially love the imagination with colors and the control while working with the wet brush.
With water color pencils, once you apply water with a paintbrush, the colors start to soften and bleed into one another. There is a very fine line between a marvelous blend and a terrible washout.

Kudos to the young artist for being patient enough to observe the results and adapt to the outcome!
